Stools
Christophe Pillet’s design philosophy can be summed up in a few eloquent words: “I am not on a quest for the extraordinary, but rather for that which is beautiful and able to kindle emotion within the ordinary”.
This impassioned exploration of the essence of things is also fully developed in the design of the First Steps stool??? whose lyric simplicity seems to trace back to the archetypal object-chair.
The sinuous structure that rises to form the backrest is in painted metal, while the seat and backrest material is entirely made of tightly hand-woven paper cord or paper rush cord.
The same design and materials appear in the chair, whose refined appearance allows it undeniable versatility, making it a tasteful and discreet fit in any setting.
