ELLE DECOR “GRAND HOTEL”, MILAN
The second edition of the installation-exhibition “Elle Decor Grand Hotel” was inaugurated on 5th October at Palazzo Morando in Milano, a particularly evocative venue.
The “Open House” project was conceived and designed by Studio Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel and totally redefines the concept of hotel hospitality through an altogether innovative format, which suggests a new way to use public spaces, designed to meet both the guests’ as well as the occasional visitors’ requirements. The exhibition space is conceived as a real pop-up hotel, designed to offer visitors a truly emotional hotel experience. Next to the restaurant and bar services, activities such as art installations, a library, a florist are to be found. Moreover, visitors are given the opportunity to purchase a variety of selected objects.
From the wide Flexform collection, the Zeno Light sofa paired with two Guscio armchairs and the Bangkok ottoman were chosen to furnish the library area, whereas for the adjoining lounge a corner arrangement of the Adda sofa and a Fly coffee table were chosen. The Spa area displays a Magi daybed. All products are designed by Architect Antonio Citterio.
