THE NETHERLANDS, PRIVATE HOME
Inge van Poppel Interior Architecture rose to the challenge of a complex but very fascinating project – the renovation and interior design of the Egmondsoord Farm – whose main building dates back to the early 19th century.
In 1930, a devastating fire destroyed much of the building which, since that time, has undergone several restorations, the most significant of which took place in 2008, by architect Mart Ros who transformed the ancient barn into a very charming private residence with all the modern conveniences.
The large living space – which still retains traces of its glorious past in the ceiling beams – hosts an impressive arrangement of the Groundpiece seating system designed by Antonio Citterio, upholstered in canvas fabric in warm natural shades.
