Switzerland, Zuoz
SWITZERLAND, ZUOZ, PATRIZIERHAUS
The warmth of wood and familiar reassurance of sophisticated fabrics, snowy views and a fire in the fireplace: these are the sensations featured at the Zuoz Patrizierhaus, a traditional patrician architectural jewel set among the Swiss mountains in the Canton of the Grisons in the Maloja Region. The warm cordiality of the wood and the classical decor are balanced by contemporary modifications introduced in recent years by Küchel Architects in an exploration of comfortable, inviting luxury.
The more classic pieces of Alpine furniture merge seamlessly with a series of timeless design icons, as well as with a valuable collection of contemporary art. Several Flexform pieces are complicit in making
this interaction even more current, thanks specifically to the presence of the Adda sofa and Thomas armchairs, set apart by their brilliant green velvet upholstery.
