JAPAN, KYOTO, SOWAKA HOTEL
Sowaka is a Sanskrit word meaning "happiness" or "wellbeing". A word of blessing, it is often pronounced at the end of the Buddhist sutras that echo through the countless temples of Kyoto.
The Sowaka Hotel is located in the charming Gion and Yasaka district and, once they have crossed the stone threshold, guests are instantly transported to an oasis of calm. Blending nostalgia and modernity, the hotel’s luxurious spaces radiate ethereal elegance.
The lounge area was furnished with Feel Good and Thomas armchairs, both designed by architect Antonio Citterio.
