A contemporary building in the heart of Nonhyeon, in the upscale Gangnam district, houses the new Flexform Seoul flagship store. The impressive building’s double-height windows face the street on the first and second floors, while the remaining facades are clad in stone.
FLAGSHIP STORE OPENS IN SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA
The exhibit space covers an area of about 1,350 m2 and the interior design by the Flexform Design Center reflects the signature restrained elegance that has consistently distinguished Flexform around the world.
No detail is left to chance in this space where travertine floors and walls capped by dark wood ceilings combine to set the scene for the most representative pieces in the collection. Designed as a lounge and furnished with the iconic A.B.C. armchairs, the entrance offers a vertical view that extends through the various floors in the building.
The design also includes two bedrooms, envisioned as luxurious suites, two dining rooms and five living areas, each with its own concept that allows visitors to appreciate the adaptable versatility of the Flexform collections.
The ground floor was designed as a vast open space where the areas are separated by alluring winter gardens that lend dramatic flair, while a majestic fireplace in the bedroom area ensures a warm atmosphere.
The Flexform Mood collection is showcased on the second floor with a series of sophisticated settings filled with charm and unique stylistic features. Nero greco bocciardato marble floors pair perfectly with the eucalyptus-clad walls. Timeless pieces from yesteryear add fascination and flair in deliberately minimalist architectural settings with a distinctly contemporary vibe.
Soon, the building’s glass rooftop gazebo will host the company’s outdoor collection.
With the opening of its Seoul flagship store, in partnership with Design Ventures, Flexform can finally enjoy a high-quality exhibit space, sure to become the go-to source for architects, interior designers and end users.
